A match between India and Pakistan in any sport is always intense, but the rivalry reaches another level when the two nations face off on a cricket field. Although Pakistan is hosting the Champions Trophy, the BCCI refused to send the Indian team to the neighboring country. As a result, the match will be held at a neutral venue in Dubai.
At the inauguration of Gaddafi Stadium on Friday night, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif shared his expectations. In his speech to the Pakistan cricket team, he stated:
“We have a very good team, and they have performed well in recent times. But the real challenge now is not only to win the Champions Trophy but also to defeat our rivals, India, in the upcoming match in Dubai. The entire nation stands behind them,” Sharif said during the event in Lahore.
On the Indian side, there has been no official comment from Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the match. However, both nations’ people are eagerly anticipating this high-voltage clash. In fact, all tickets for the Dubai stadium were sold out within hours of booking.
